Adriana Millan

A native of Los Angeles, Adriana began studying acting, singing, dance and piano at the local East Los Angeles Music and Arts school at age seven and began acting in theatre productions a year later.  Since then, she has become a multi-faceted actor. Her roles have ranged from a lethal criminal in “Harsh Times,” to over zealous best friend in “The Yardsale,” to a bitter garment factory worker in “Real Women Have Curves,” and a cynical sheriff in “The Young and the Restless.”  In reference to her performance in “Real Women Have Curves”, one critic wrote “Millan enters the stage with the most clearly defined back-story and she portrays real emotional depth…”  Her love of improv also led her to performances at the Comedy Store and L.A. Improv.  She recently voiced one of the characters in the wildly popular  Rockstar Game, “Red Dead Redemption,” which debuted in May, 2010.

Although acting is her passion, Adriana has always indulged in the entrepreneurial spirit.  She owned and operated her own café, “Midnite Java” right out of high school and ran it successfully for five years, while obtaining her bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminal justice.  While finishing her degrees, she worked the social services and criminal justice field.

Shortly thereafter she began work as a television, film and commercial production assistant  / coordinator, working on hit shows such as  “Malcolm in the Middle” and “CSI: Miami.”   Her position as a professional actor with strong production credits made an easy inclusion of casting director to her resume.  Being fully bilingual has also afforded her the opportunity to work as an actress in television and commercials for Telemundo and on location in Mexico.   She is an alumni of the UCLA screenwriter’s program and is currently producing her projects.

Adriana loves traveling and has visited numerous cities in China, Korea, Japan, Mexico, France, Italy, Switzerland, Monaco, Austria, the continental U.S., England and Hawaii. Next on her list is Thailand, Spain and Greece.

Her prior experience working with children and her passion for the performing arts led the creation of Museon Performing Arts Company, which she started in early 2004.  It is an organization dedicated to performing arts education and filmmaking for children and teens in Greater Los Angeles and Orange County.
